Mocha Rum Gheelight ft. Cast and Iron

This cozy beverage comes to us courtesy of Teddy Cosco and the talented outdoor culinary team at @castandiron

Mise en Place:

  • Coffee & Vanilla Ghee - 2 tablespoons
  • Milk -  1 cup, preferably organic
  • Cocoa Powder - 2 tablespoons
  • Brown Sugar- 2 teaspoons
  • Dark Chocolate 
  • Spiced Rum
  • Marshmallows


  1. In a large saucepan, warm 1 cup of milk over medium heat. Avoid boiling to maintain a smooth texture.
  2. Gradually whisk in 2 tablespoons of cocoa powder and 2 teaspoons of brown sugar, dissolving it completely into the mixture.
  3. Finely grate a portion of dark chocolate directly into the saucepan, stirring continuously. 
  4. Whisk in 2 tablespoons of Coffee & Vanilla Ghee until the mixture is smooth.
  5. Stir in spiced rum to your liking, then remove the mixture from the heat.

Pour the mixture into a mug and top with marshmallows as an optional garnish.
