Ghee-infused Old Fashioned

Ingredients

To create Ghee-washed Rye Whisky

For the cocktail

Method

O.G. Ghee-Washed Rye Whisky

STEP 1:
Melt O.G. Ghee in a small saucepan over low heat. Do not allow it to smoke. 

STEP 2:
Pour desired amount of whisky into a mason jar, or heat resistant container.

STEP 3:
Pour appropriate ratio of ghee into jar with whisky in it, and cover.

STEP 4:
Shake vigorously for 30 seconds

STEP 5:
Place the jar in the freezer UPSIDE DOWN for at least 2 hours.

STEP 6:
Once fat is fully solidified, pour whisky into final storage container



Let’s cocktail!

STEP 1:
This is a build in glass cocktai.

STEP 2:
Add syrup, bitters (we like Black Cloud Bitters from  YYC!) and whisky, and stir. Check flavour balance, before adding ice 

STEP 3:
Add large ice cubes, and stir until the grass starts to bead condensation. 

STEP 4:
Express oils from citrus peel into drink, then toss into the glass. 

STEP 5:
